INDIANAPOLIS -- A man was hit and killed on Indianapolis' east side Wednesday evening, according to police.
Officers were called to the 8000 block of East Washington Road around 6:45 p.m.
Police say a man was walking across East Washington Street when he was hit. That man was taken to Methodist hospital where he later died. His identity has not been released.
The driver stayed on the scene.
Police do not believe charges will be filed.
