FISHERS, Ind. -- A 14-year-old boy was injured when he was hit by a vehicle Monday evening in Fishers.
Police were called to the scene near the entrance to Breakwater sometime after 7 p.m. Brooks School Road was closed at Desert Glen north of the crash site and Club Point south of the crash scene.
Police say the teen was trying to cross the unlit road when he was hit. He was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by the Fishers Police Department.
