COLUMBUS — Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a semi on a Columbus highway early Monday morning.
Columbus Police Department officers responded to the area of US 31 and Shady Lane around 7 a.m. for a report of a crash. Arriving officers found a pedestrian that had been struck. That person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The pedestrian's identity has not been released at this time.
No other details about the crash have been released. It remains under investigation by the Columbus Police Department.
