INDIANAPOLIS -- One person is in custody after leading police on a chase on Indianapolis' east side Wednesday night.
The chase began near the English Village Apartments around 8:30 p.m. Police say they were called to check on somebody holding another person against their will in a vehicle.
When officers spotted the vehicle, the person drove away.
Police used stop sticks, ending the chase near the intersection of Brookville Road and Stanton Avenue.
The person who was held against their will was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. The suspect ran from the vehicle. Somebody who lives in the area distracted them until police caught up and arrested the suspect.
Police haven't identified the person arrested.
