Woman in critical condition after hit-and-run

INDIANAPOLIS -- Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver after a woman was hit and critically hurt early Sunday morning.

It happened near 38th Street and High School Road. 

The victim, 35-year-old Daniela Lope-Jimenez, was trying to cross the street when she was hit by a small silver sedan driving southbound on High School Road. She was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition, and her condition has not improved.

Investigators believe the vehicle that hit her will be a 2006-2010 Dodge Charger with damage to front driver's side based on evidence found at the crime scene.
