INDIANAPOLIS—Indianapolis police have released additional information about a late-afternoon shooting at a shopping area of the city's northwest side.

A public information officer for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says a person was shot outside at Subway shop at 6225 West 56th Street. That's near High School Road and not far from I 465.

The victim is said to be in "stable" condition and police say there have been no arrests.

Police aren't saying what prompted the shooting or whether the victim and suspect knew each other.
