INDIANAPOLIS — One person was shot and killed at a house on the Indianapolis west side, Friday afternoon.
The shooting took place on South Addison Street, near West Washington Street.
That's a few blocks west of George Washington High School.
Officers rushed to the scene after 3:30 p.m.
The shooting victim was inside the house at 33 South Addison.
An IMPD public information officer said the person was taken to a nearby hospital, but did not survive.
Police were not releasing the name of the person or whether it was a man or woman.
The victim and shooter appeared to know each other and there was no threat to the public, according to IMPD.
Police have not said whether the shooter has been arrested.
