INDIANAPOLIS — A person has died after being struck by a vehicle on Indianapolis' west side early Monday morning.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the area of 10th Street and Woodpointe Drive around 6 a.m.
Arriving officers found an unresponsive person in the roadway who had been struck by a vehicle. The person was transported to the hospital where they later died. Their identity has not been released at this time.
Police say the driver of the vehicle involved did stay on the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
