SWITZ CITY — A single-passenger plane crashed in Tuesday night in Greene County.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Curt Durnil said the pilot, Richard L. Millsaps, 52, Coal City, was taken to the hospital with fractures and possible head injuries. All his injuries are thought to be non-life threatening.
After 9 p.m., Millsaps' ultralight plane suffered engine failure at 2,000 feet, causing an unplanned landing. When it landed, the plane bounded over County Road 600 West before plunging upside down into a ditch on the other side.
Millsaps was taken to Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
