INDIANAPOLIS — A little girl who was a patient at Riley Hospital for Children missed out on Pioneer Day at her school in Hancock County.
But ten-year-old Brooklyn Smith got the next best thing — the hospital brought Pioneer Day to her bedside.
Riley children's teacher Kellee Clevenger found some pioneer-era outfits, and Brooklyn was even able to churn butter from her bed.
Brooklyn also got to Facetime with the rest of her class as the children took part in 19th century lessons.
The best news: Brooklyn is now out of the hospital and back home!
