PITTSBORO, Ind. -- Police discovered a Pittsboro couple dead Tuesday in what appears to be a murder-suicide.
Police found Brock Clossey, 39, and Robin Longworth, 49, dead in the house on N. Maple Street in Pittsboro.
Investigators don't believe the fatal shootings happened Tuesday. Neighbors say they heard what they thought were gunshots coming from the house nearly a week ago.
Robin hadn't been at work since last Tuesday.
Based on the wounds and the locations of weapons, police say they believe Clossey shot Longworth, then took his own life.
Police say there was is evidence of a fight occurring just before their deaths.
Two dogs were also found at the scene; they've been turned over to animal control.
Pittsboro police say it's been nearly two decades since they investigated a homicide.
