BELLEVILLE — One person was seriously injured in a crash involving a dump truck Monday morning.
Plainfield Fire Territory Station 122 responded to the accident at US 40 and County Road 0 around 6:35 a.m., according to a Facebook post from the fire department.
Fire officials said one person was trapped and had to be extricated from their vehicle.
Crews freed the person in about 20 minutes. They were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
