MADISON COUNTY, Ind. -- A woman was seriously injured in a crash in Madison County Wednesday morning.
The crash happened around 8 a.m., near the intersection of State Road 109 and 1000 North. Police say a semi was driving northbound and collided with an SUV traveling southbound.
According to police, 33-year-old Amber Bailey of Richmond lost control of her SUV on wet pavement and crossed into the path of the semi. Police say she was not wearing her seat belt and was ejected from her vehicle. Bailey was taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
The driver of the semi was OK.
The intersection was closed in the area, but reopened around 12:30 p.m.
