INDIANAPOLIS -- Several Central Indiana counties issued travel advisories Saturday.
A travel advisory means that routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, and individuals should use caution or avoid those areas.
The Indy Snow Force planned to increase drivers on the road Saturday and into the overnight hours.
Snow Force had 12 drivers on city streets overnight Friday and has now increased that number to 39 to handle icy patches across the city, according to a press release.
IMPD urged drivers to use caution Saturday as the roads are slick and covered with black ice.
#Indy be careful driving, #roads are extremely #slick and covered with #blackice. Drive #slow and don't be in a hurry. #LeaveEarly
