Police detonate suspicious package in downtown Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS -- Police detonated a suspicious package found late Tuesday night in downtown Indianapolis. 

A briefcase was found and detonated near the intersection of Vermont and Delaware around midnight. 

Nothing inside was found to be dangerous. 

A second suspicious package was found near the City-County Building on Washington Street. This one was taken and found to be safe of anything explosive.
