INDIANAPOLIS -- An elderly woman damaged a police car Friday morning when she drove into the side of it, police say.
The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. Friday, at Sherman Commons Shopping Center, near the intersection of Sherman Drive and Washington Street.
Police say an officer had his car off the street on parking detail when an elderly woman drove by and crashed into the driver's door and rear panel.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer wasn't in the vehicle.
Police say alcohol wasn't involved in the crash -- the driver just wasn't paying attention.
Nobody was injured.
