WAYNE COUNTY, Ind. -- Police are investigating after a man and woman were found dead in a Fountain City home Friday morning.
According to a press release from the Wayne County Sheriff's Department, police received a call around 7:24 a.m. Friday from a person from out of state who said a relative had called saying he had shot his wife and made threats to kill himself.
Officers from the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, along with a SWAT team, went to a home in the 300 block of North Walnut Street. Negotiators made several attempts to contact the people in the home, but were unsuccessful. A tactical team then entered the home and found the man and woman dead.
Police have not released the identities of the people found inside the home.
