INDIANAPOLIS—Indianapolis police are investigating the shooting deaths of two people on the city's east side.
Officers were called to a house in the 2400 block of North Rural Street at about 4 p.m., Tuesday.
Inside, they found two adults who had been shot to death, according to a public information officer for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Natasha Jones, 25, and Brandon Riggs, 36, were shot and killed in the incident, said Alfie Ballew, chief deputy Marion County coroner.
Homicide detectives quickly arrived and began gathering information from people in the neighborhood.
There have been no arrests.
Busy Rural Street was blocked off to traffic and neighbors who gathered at the scene were kept at a distance.
