INDIANAPOLIS -- Hancock County Sheriff's deputies arrested an Anderson man on charges of failure to report a dead body in connection with the death of 55-year-old Shannon Kitchens.
Kitchens' body was found along County Road 500 North in Hancock County on Tuesday. Deputies said it appeared to have been "dumped" there.

On Thursday, the Hancock County Sheriff's Department announced the arrest of Shawn Hammons, 44, of Anderson, on preliminary charges of failure to report a dead body within three hours of discovery and failure to report a dead body with intent to hinder an investigation.
Hancock County prosecutors upped the charges Monday to include two counts of murder and one count each of robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery while armed with a deadly weapon, attempting to deal narcotic dreads, conspiracy to deal cocaine, altering the scene of a death and failure to report a dead body.
