INDIANAPOLIS — Jurors have returned a guilty verdict in a murder case that police said was the result of a "love triangle."

A Marion County jury found Domanique Johnson guilty of Murder in the August 2018 shooting death of Antoine Walton at a northwest side apartment complex parking lot.

According to Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears, Johnson tracked down Walton in the lot on Lenox Lane and shot him in the head. A friend who was with Walton and was armed shot and wounded Johnson.

As Johnson tried to drive from the scene, his vehicle struck a carport. He then checked himself into a hospital where police found him.

Investigators later learned the shooting stemmed from a "love triangle" involving Walton and Johnson.

Johnson will be sentenced March 5.
