INDIANAPOLIS -- Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are looking for a man wanted for running from police after a traffic stop on Interstate 70 Wednesday morning.
Police were searching a neighborhood near the intersection of 23rd Street and Oxford Street.
The traffic stop happened on the Rural-Keystone ramp from I-70. Police reportedly stopped the car for a traffic violation.
One man in the car jumped out and ran as he was apparently reaching for his waistband. Police took two other people in the car in custody.
Investigators say they found a magazine for a gun in the car, and the others who were in the car said the man had a gun.
Police set up a perimeter for close to an hour.
They found the suspects jacket, but the man is still on the loose.
