Police find missing 11-year-old girl who took mom's car

UPDATE: According to IMPD, both Harmonie Powell, 11, and Charles Powell, 4, have been located and are safe. They have been reunited with family, police said.

INDIANAPOLIS — Police in Indianapolis are searching for a missing 11-year-old girl who may have taken her mother's vehicle with her 4-year-old brother also in the car.

According to a report from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the children and their mother's black 2005 Chevrolet Equinox are missing from a house in the 2000 block of South Harlan Street.

Missing are Harmonie Powell, 11, and Charles Powell, 4. Harmonie is 4-foot 7-inches tall weighing 120 pounds with sandy hair and brown eyes. Charles is 3-feet tall weighing 50 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police said there may be some damage to the vehicle. Police also said there is an unknown breed dog in the vehicle.

Investigators said the vehicle may be headed to Cloverdale in Putnam County.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.
