SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A lockdown at IU South Bend early morning was due to the search for a robbery suspect, police say.
ABC 57 reported around 1:00 a.m. Friday that police had been alerted of a subject with a handgun seen headed toward the school's campus.

Police were warning residents near the campus to take shelter.
According to ABC 57 in South Bend, police searched the area for the possible gunman and 'resolved the issue' at a nearby convenience store.
