INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police are asking for the public's help in finding a suspect involved in a road rage and shooting incident late-Sunday.
It happened on the city's south side at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police were called to a gas station at East Raymond Street and South Keystone Avenue where they found a woman in the back of a Chevy Trailblazer.
She had been shot, but did not suffer life-threatening wounds and was treated and released from Eskenazi Hospital.
Witnesses told detectives the Trailblazer was involved in a road rage incident with a silver Nissan.
The driver of the Nissan allegedly chased the Trailblazer north on South Keystone and then fired shots into the vehicle, wounding the woman in the back seat.
The driver of the Trailblazer then went to a nearby gas station and waited for police.
Police say the silver Nissan has what is probably an Indiana covered bridge license plate beginning with letters.
