Parker Williams, who was a ward of the state of Indiana, recently suffered a bilateral skull fracture. The child is in the custody of the state. An attorney with the family is working to get the baby with his grandmother.
His mother, 37-year-old Regina Williams, had an open warrant for child neglect. She was taken to the Arrestee Processing Center for booking.
Officers with IMPD said the case did not meet standards to issue an Amber Alert.
