INDIANAPOLIS -- Police recovered a possible human arm from the White River Saturday afternoon.
According to a release from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, it was discovered by people who were fishing in the area of 10th Street just after noon.
It will be taken to the Marion County Coroner's Office to be examined and confirmed as a human arm.
If confirmed as human, the coroner's office will try to identify the arm.
Last Sunday, crews pulled what appeared to be a man's torso from the White River near New York Street, less than a mile away.
That body was identified as James Rice, 44.
It is unknown if the two cases are related, but police say they are investigating "all possibilities to include last weekend’s case."
