INDIANAPOLIS -- Lottery fever is growing and so is the Powerball jackpot.
As of noon Wednesday, the jackpot stands at $500 million.
So many people are buying tickets that there was a $50 million increase at midday for the second day in a row.
Hoosiers have a better chance at winning the Powerball than most.

Many people who play the lottery have a system for choosing their numbers.
Here are some facts that may help you pick yours:
- The most commonly drawn numbers in Powerball history are 32 and 41. Both have appeared 193 times, or just over 10 percent of the time. At the current odds, every number has about a 7 percent chance of appearing in any given drawing.
