Purdue offers another viewing option for Condoleezza Rice's sold out visit

WEST LAFAYETTE — The 66th U.S. Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, is set to speak at Purdue University as part of their '150 Years of Giant Leaps.'

Although the event on Wednesday, Oct. 9 is sold out, Purdue is offering overflow seating to the public.

'An Evening with Condoleezza Rice' can be viewed by the general public through a livestream in Stewart Center's Loeb Playhouse.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the event starts at 6:30 p.m.

'150 Years of Giant Leaps' is Purdue's yearlong celebration of Purdue's history.

Rice is the second woman and first African American woman to serve as secretary of state. She served under President George W. Bush from 2005 to 2009. From 2001 to 2005, she was the first woman to serve as a national security adviser to the president.
