MUNCIE, Ind. – A Ball State student is “in heaven” after Nicki Minaj offered to pay off some of his school debt.
The rapper spent her Saturday night on Twitter offering to help her fans pay for school if they could prove they had good grades.
It all started when she was tweeted about an online contest she is holding to give one of her fans a chance to join her at the upcoming Billboard Music Awards. Nicki Minaj said the entries could come from any country because she has enough money to fly fans in from around the world.
From that, one fan asked if she’d be willing to pay for their college tuition – she wrote back saying she would love to if the fan could provide proof that he had straight As.
From there, Minaj started a new contest, and fans flooded her timeline with proof of their grades and explanations of their financial issues.
One of those fans was Ball State student Kyle. His last name isn't on his Twitter page.
He sent the rapper a screenshot of his grades in chemistry and physics classes.
