INDIANAPOLIS -- To help prevent house fires in the state, the Indiana Red Cross will be going door to door to help educate people about fire safety, and to install and check smoke alarms as needed.
Red Cross crews will be going door to door in Indianapolis from 2-5 p.m. on Monday as part of the Home Fire Campaign.
Five lives have been saved in Indiana since the program began in Oct. 2014, according to the Red Cross.
Riley Hospital for Children donated the smoke alarms for the Red Cross.
