INDIANAPOLIS – If the Thanksgiving holiday typically leaves you with more than a full stomach – we’re talking about lots of heavy trash bags – you may just have to hold on to them for an extra day, as trash collection will be delayed.
Residential trash, heavy trash, leaf collection and curbside recycling services will not be available on Thursday. Instead, Thursday routes will run on Friday, and Friday routes will be picked up on Saturday.
All services will return to normal schedules beginning on Monday.
The city’s leaf collection program allows you to leave up to 40 bags of leaves for collection now until Dec. 2.
