RICHMOND, Ind. -- If you're thinking about a lucky place to buy your ticket, you might think about Richmond, in eastern Indiana.
Two separate Speedway gas stations there have sold jackpot winners in the last 18 years.
Richmond Mayor Dave Snow believes his city is lucky. And there is no coincidence that people purchase winning tickets there.
A Speedway store on the west side of Richmond sold a $295 million Powerball jackpot winning ticket in 1998. In 2007, a store on the east side sold a $314 million ticket.

"I think there is something inherently lucky. We are a two-time All-American city and a stellar city. So I find it is no surprise that we have had two Powerball winners out of our city. I think we are very lucky," Dave Snow said.
"I recall hearing about those winners. Hopefully the third winner is here in Richmond," Jackie Beyer said.
"I don't feel lucky. I just bought a ticket on a whim. I never played the lottery ever. I'm lucky to live in Richmond. How about that?" Karen Caudill said.
Debbie Gray bought one Powerball ticket and is aware of Richmond's history of success, but is the ultimate prize too big for her?
"I feel pretty good about it, but so does everyone else. I don't really want to win that much money. It would be fine with me," she said.
The winners of the jackpot tickets in 1998 and 2007 lived in Ohio and crossed the border to buy the tickets.
