What does the plus sign in Joey+Rory mean?

INDIANAPOLIS -- It's Joey+Rory... not Joey and Rory.

Rory Feek explains why he and Joey chose to use the symbol instead of the word in his latest blog post.

The couple had been married for five years, but Joey's career as a solo artist wasn't taking off.

Rory says he and Joey became a duo when they tried out for a new CMT reality music competition show called 'Can You Duet?'

They made it through the first round of auditions and needed to come up with a name.

"I told Joey that I think we should tell them 'Joey+Rory', because that's what it actually was... You + Me = whatever this is going to be."

Years later, Rory says the equation has become so much more.  They added faith, friends and their daughter, Indiana.

I cannot even begin to imagine going home to Tennessee without Joey, or living my life and raising Indy without her... but chances are, that day is coming

Rory's post included a new picture of Indiana.
