CARMEL, Ind. -- Another roundabout is coming to Carmel – this time right in the heart of the city.
The city's latest roundabout is going in at the intersection of Carmel Drive and Rangeline Road. While Mayor Jim Brainard says he knows the closure is a pain for motorists, he says it's just the price of a growing city.
"We are determined in this city to have a transportation system that works, where people aren't in congestion, where things flow properly and it's safe, and we can get from place to place in a short amount of time," Brainard said.
Brainard says more roundabouts will be coming along Rangeline Road, so don't expect this to be the only road closure in the near future.
