Russiaville K-9 diagnosed with termianl cancer dies

RUSSIAVILLE, Ind. – A Howard County police K-9 who was diagnosed with terminal cancer has died. 

K-9 officer Kayos was given just months to live after he was diagnosed lymphoma, and had a mass in his lower intestine. 

The department had been raising money to try to cover medical bills for the eight-year-old Belgian Malinois. 

Kayos served with the Russiaville Police Department since he was 7 months old with Howard county Sheriff's Deputy Randy VanNatter.
