UPDATE: Meijer and Sargento Foods Inc. expanded their recalls on Friday to include multiple types of specialty cheese because of possible Listeria contamination.
The products were distributed nationwide.
Deutsch Kase Haus, LLC of Middlebury, Indiana, notified Sargento earlier this month that it supplied the company with a Longhorn Colby cheese that may be contaminated with Listeria monocyctogenes.
Sargento has since terminated their contracts with the Indiana company.

Meijer's recall includes certain varieties of Meijer Colby and Colby Jack bulk cheeses. The affected products are those with UPCs beginning with 215927 and 215938. The last six digits of the UPC codes will vary.
Meijer's recall also includes Meijer Cheese Chunk Natural Muenster 8 oz with UPC 8-86926-27573-5 and best if used by dates of 3/28/17, 5/13/17 and 6/10/17.

No illnesses have been reported.
Consumers can check if their product is affected by the recall by visiting info.sargento.com and using the “Product Check” tool. That webpage will be updated with the latest information about the recall.
If you have the affected Sargento cheeses, you should contact them at 1-800-243-3737 between 9 am - 4 pm Central Time.
If you have affected Meijer cheeses, you should return them to the place of purchase.
