INDIANAPOLIS — A school crossing guard was hit by a vehicle near North Central High School Friday morning.
Marion County Dispatchers say the accident happened right in front of the school.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers on the scene say the male crossing guard suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Eskenazi Hospital to be treated.
Police say the driver of the vehicle that struck the crossing guard did stay on scene and is cooperating with police. It is unclear if that driver will face charges at this time.
The crash remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
