BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. -- A semi driver lost control and crashed after the cab was struck by a large owl early Monday morning.
The semi crashed just after 4 a.m. in the area of 850 S, according to the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office.
The driver, Patrick Molex, 22, of Ford Heights, Illinois, told a Bartholomew County sheriff's deputy he was traveling eastbound on 850 S when a large owl struck the driver's side window.
Molex lost control of the semi, left the roadway, struck a culvert and rolled onto its right side.
No major injuries were reported, but the owl was found deceased on the floor board of the truck.
