WAYNE COUNTY, Ind. -- The driver of a semi was ticketed by police after the cab crashed into a house.

The crash happened Friday morning around 9:45 a.m., at a house on the 12000 block of US 35, just north of Economy.

Police say the driver, Makhmud Amanov, 27, was driving north on US 35 when he lost control in a curve, overcorrected and flipped the truck onto its side.

The front of the cab separated from the trailer and crashed into the house.

A mother and her child were home, but they were unhurt. Amanov had no signs of injuries, but was taken to a hospital in Richmond, Indiana to be checked out.

Witnesses also said Amanov passed two vehicles in a no passing zone before the crash.

He was ticketed for driving too fast to avoid collision and passing in violation of signs and markings.

The truck, registered to Interland INC. of La Grange, Illinois, is a total loss. It was carrying rolls of paper.
