CICERO — Multiple boats were destroyed in a commercial fire at a business in Cicero early Monday morning.
Firefighters from multiple agencies in four counties responded to the fire around 9:30 am. at the Portside Marine.
The Sheridan Fire Department Fire Chief said the original call came in as a boat fire but was quickly upgraded. Over 60 firefighters were working to put out the fire and keep it from spreading to nearby homes.
Portside Marine was housing multiple new and used boats inside the building when the fire broke out, all of those boats were destroyed.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation and the estimated amount of damage has not been released.
