SHELBY COUNTY, Ind. -- The Shelby County Coroner confirms the body found at White Rock Park Monday morning is that of Christopher Demarrco Easton.

The 20-year-old Indianapolis man was visiting the park with friends on Sunday when he disappeared. He was last seen around 5:30 p.m.

His mother says Christopher was going zip-lining when he apparently went out on his own.

Monday morning, officers with the Department of Natural Resources found a body matching Easton's description about 25 feet deep in the water.

"It's heartbreaking," camper Lori Walston said. "I mean, nobody wants to lose a child regardless (of whether) they're an adult or not."

At this point, investigators believe Easton's death was an accident.

And while we're unsure exactly how the death happened, officers want to make one thing very clear as swimming season begins.

"If you're not a swimmer or a good swimmer, the best thing you can do is wear a life jacket or have one right next to you," DNR conservation officer Travis Stewart said.

White Rock Park opened back up to the public after the investigation ended.

There is no lifeguard on duty at the park.
