INDIANAPOLIS -- Some of you may not have eaten your Thanksgiving dinner by the time shoppers were lining up outside stores across central Indiana to catch some Thanksgiving day deals.

Lots of stores opened early on Thanksgiving to offer their pre-Black Friday sales to shoppers who wanted a head-start on their holiday shopping.

Stores like JC Penny dozens of customers lined up outside before their doors even opened. 

Most of them said their biggest plan was to stay highly caffeinated to make it through the night and into Friday morning for more sales. 

Many stores like Macy's and JC Penny stayed open through the night so shoppers can get their deals anytime they like.

Dozens of stores who decided to close on Thanksgiving will be open as early as 5 a.m. Friday for the traditional Black Friday shopping.
