Shotgun, computer stolen from unmarked police car in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ind. -- Police are searching for a person who broke into an Indiana State Police vehicle and stole a gun, a computer and cash.

Police say an unmarked vehicle was broken into at the Clarion Hotel at 2480 Jonathan Moore Pike in Columbus, Indiana around 2 p.m. Saturday.

The suspect took a Dell laptop computer, a Remington 12 gauge shotgun and an undisclosed amount of cash.

A witness told police they saw a newer navy blue minivan with a silver grill parked next to the vehicle when the theft took place.
