UPDATE: The Statewide Silver Alert has been canceled after Robert Currie was found safe, according to the Jay County Sheriff's Office.
JAY COUNTY — Indiana State Police have issued a Statewide Silver Alert for a missing 53-year-old man from Portland.
Portland is in Jay County and is 93 miles northeast of Indianapolis.
The Jay County Sheriff's Office says Robert Charles Currie was last seen Saturday, April 13, around 8 p.m. and he is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
Currie is described as being 5 feet 7 inches tall and 185 pounds with brown hair with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue wind breaker jacket, plaid shirt, blue jeans, and has multiple tattoos on his chest, back, arms, and knees.
Currie is driving a red 2002 Kia Sportage SUV with Indiana plate XTJ552.
