INDIANAPOLIS -- It’s a video with hundreds of views and counting.
"When did you get here? When did you guys? Oh My,” said Eva Goeb.
Just days before Christmas, the Franklin woman met her first granddaughter, Lily.
The meeting was captured on video and shared on YouTube.
"She just captured my heart,” Goeb said of her instant love for baby Lily.
The small bundle of joy was born on December 8th.
"We had been praying for a long time for a child for Donny and Miranda,” said Goeb.
The couple were high school sweethearts who married seven years ago and wanted children for quite some time. They decided to adopt.
Eva says just last week her son, who is serving in the Air Force and stationed in Hawaii, shared that he was homesick.
Donny wasn't expected to return for the holidays because he has training in Ohio in January but then the surprise happened.
"You have to know that I'm a crier. You can tell from the video that I'm a pretty emotional person,” said Goeb.
Shedding tears of joy while holding close a little girl who is now providing plenty of holiday joy and cheer.
"I will tell you this. Some babies come from a mother's belly. This baby came from a mother's heart. Lily you are really loved.”
