INDIANAPOLIS -- Good news for spring breakers, honeymooners and vacationers looking for some fun in the sun – Southwest Airlines is adding nonstop flights to Cancun from the Indianapolis International Airport.

The flights to Cancun are the first international nonstop flights offered by Southwest out of Indianapolis.  The airline chose Cancun because it is the number one international destination for travelers leaving Indianapolis.

This is just one of many updates in service the airline has been working to make over the past few years. Southwest has increased its presence in Indianapolis as of late, offering 70 percent more seats in 2016 than in 2014.

Southwest also added new flights between New York and Indianapolis seasonal nonstop flights to San Diego earlier this year.

You can start booking your nonstop flights to Cancun now, but the service won’t begin until Spring 2018.
