INDIANAPOLIS — On January 8, 21-year-old Chrishaun Snelling was found shot to death in the stairwell of a west side Indianapolis apartment complex. The next day, 24-year-old Shaugnje Scott was found shot to death at another west side apartment complex.
Monday, police announced an arrest in both murders. The suspect is Damarion Moore and he was taken into custody in Champagne, Illinois.
Police are not saying what the connection between the two cases is, or if there is one.
Snelling was shot a 733 Hardin Boulevard, near West Washington Street and I 465. Scott was killed at 7923 Westmore Drive, near West 10th Street and North Girls School Road. The two locations are about three miles apart.
According to a public information officer for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, detectives were able to gather evidence connecting Moore to both crimes.
