Storm strands drivers in northwest Indiana

Posted

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana State Police were dealing with chaos in northwestern Indiana – where a blizzard stranded hundreds of drivers between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

Bob Blessing said he was stuck in his truck for more than 18 hours by the storm.

"As far as your eye can see there is backed up traffic into Illinois, and I'm just standing here with my truck," Blessing said.

Travel warnings were extended into Thursday night as police continued warning people about the risk of being stranded.
