FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP — Several students had to be helped out of the back of a school bus after it slid off the road and into a water-filled ditch Thursday morning.
Indiana State Police say the incident happened in the area of County Line and Graham roads.
The Greenwood Fire Department, Greenwood Police Department and the Franklin Township School Police were able to safely remove the kids from the bus and get them a new ride to school.
No one was injured and police say the driver did a great job of keeping the bus from flipping over.
We have reached out to the school system and the Franklin Township School Police for more information and will update this when it becomes available.
