INDIANAPOLIS -- A 23-year-old man was identified Tuesday as the suspect in a strong armrobbery at an east side gas station.

Police were called to the Marathon gas station on the 8000 block of East 42nd Street on June 1 on a report of a robbery that had just occurred.

They arrived to find a female victim who said she'd been robbed by a man who offered to pump her gas. When she was getting money to pay him, the woman said the suspect grabbed her purse, then pulled her to the ground and punched her in the face.

The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Neverean Jackson, was then seen getting into a black Chrysler Sebring and fleeing from the scene.

An arrest warrant for a charge of felony robbery has been issued Jackson.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS.
